CLP Orientation: What is Christian Life Program?

The Christian Life Program conducted by the Couples for Christ Malaybalay Medalla Milagrosa Chapter officially launched last June 22, 2014 Sunday at Malaybalay Veterans HQ. The turnout of the participants during the orientation was victorious as many answered the invitation. Participants from different parts of the city and from different walks of life came for the orientation.

Many listens as the speaker, Bro. Roland Sisican, inspiringly explains what Christan Life Program is all about. Questions such as why do we need to attend this kind of program? What sort of assurance that we are save if we finish this CLP and many other questions were answered according to God's plan for mankind.

The speaker clearly emphasized about God's plan for us, and to have a personal relationship with HIM. About freeing us from slavery of sin, and are they up to the challenge of finishing the CLP and explore God's plan in their lives.

As you can see the happiness and fulfillment of every faces during the orientation, that because of the workings of the Holy Spirit on them. The Joy of serving the Lord is incomparable and the CFC Malaybalay Medalla Milagrosa Chapter would like to share to other couple who are not yet in the community. It is a gargantuan task but nothing is impossible if Christ is on our side.

Father's Day Special

( Statistically, many failures of the children and become juvenile attributes to the lack of a father in the household. A father has a big role  to lead the family, The father is accountable to GOD the position of influence He has given. As a father we should accept that responsibility and embrace it wholeheartedly. A father should love his children and seek to win their hearts. He should protect them, discipline them and teach them about GOD. He should model how to walk with integrity and treat others with respect and should call out his children to become responsible men and women to live their lives for what matters eternity.

The following article below are handouts given by the Chapter Leader Mitchell Talatala during the household meeting of the chapter on June 19, 2014 Thursday. A celebration of Father's Day Special activity was celebrated during the prayer meeting which honors all the father in the household. )

Despite all of the advantages men have as a gender in this society, it nonetheless isn't easy being a man. Men die younger, tend to suppress non anger emotions, generally bear the burden of failures in solitude, stereo-typically are assigned blame for most of society's ills, and often develop sadly more distant relationships with their children.

On the one hand, men are told to be tough. On the other, they are grilled about why they can't open up. On the one hand, men often are assigned the role of the family disciplinarian. On the other, they are directed to express more affection. On the one hand, men are raised to work hard and to make something of themselves. On the other, they are asked why they're never home.

No, it isn't easy being a man.

It is even more difficult being a father. (And tougher still for the many men who fall into the role almost accidentally or at least without giving it much advance thought.)

But let us say this: Being a good parent, whether father or mother, is the most important and the most rewarding job in life. What else, at the end of the day, truly compares to the love and happiness of our children?

Amazingly, as difficult as it is to be a good father, all sorts of men succeed at it, as one testimonial after another would indicate. If we all don't have fathers we would emulate, most of us at least certainly know of others who do. The fathers who love, advise, inspire and provide unconditional acceptance.

An interesting eight steps to becoming a good father, and while we don't consider them by any means comprehensive, they provide a good start:

1. Have fun.
2. Spend time and take responsibility for your children.
3. Be a teacher by both word and example.
4. Show affection.
5. Respect your children's mother.
6. Don't place unreasonable expectations on your children.
7. Don't place unreasonable expectations on yourself.
8. Realize that a father's job is never done.

CLP Training: Getting Ready to Evangelize

Last June 15, 2013, the Couples for Christ Medalla Milagrosa Chapter spearheaded by its chapter leader Bro. Mitchell Talatala and Sis Grace Talatala conducted a CLP Training in preparation of their coming Christian Life Program. This is to equipped the members with the full protection and armour to fight the spiritual battle during the course of the CLP. 

The chapter was blessed to have its speakers coming from a sector level, not just one, not just two but all three talks was given by a sector head invited by the chapter. Truly, they speak for the Lord and was lead by the Holy Spirit as all the participants of the talk attentively listen to the speakers and digested what they learned to be able to use it to fight and ward of the forces of evil. Battle ready they are putting on the Full Armour of God in every talk.
